But..What does this even mean?!
Sanlawr is the combination of Sandra and Lawrence Martin, the parents of owner and operator, Robert Martin. Sandra and Lawrence helped Robert and Rose find this slice of heaven back in 2019. Ever since the family farm was sold, Robert and Rose were looking for something to take care of all while enjoying nature and hunting. Since 2020, they have been learning about the challenges & joys of being small business owners, building trust, and creating lasting relationships with clients. We love sharing our 'little slice of heaven' with our community and honored guests!

Sanlawr Haven is a charming, rustic property nestled in the tranquil mountains of Fulton County, PA. It is a quaint and intimate destination for bridal showers, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding ceremonies/receptions, musical events, retreats, and guest rentals.
Sanlawr Haven is located between two beautiful mountain ranges at the base of the Tuscarora Mountains. Seasonal area activities include- the Strawberry Festival (second week of June), Fulton County Fall Folk Festival (third week in October), skiing, country auctions, golf, antiquing, flea markets, dining, fishing, shopping, C & O Canal Towpath, hiking, biking, and more!
We are conveniently located 4 miles off of the PA Turnpike (Route 76) and 7 miles from Route 30. Sanlawr Haven is 22 minutes from Cowen’s Gap State Park, 40 minutes from Whitetail Ski Resort, 45 minutes west of Chambersburg, 45 minutes east of Bedford, 1 hour and 15 minutes from Raystown Lake, and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Happy Valley (Penn State University).

Robert and Rose Martin, are a laid-back and genuine couple from Adams County, PA. They purchased the 98-acre McConnellsburg property in 2019 from Mike and Linda Crampton. The Crampton's previously owned and operated the property as a bed and breakfast under the name Crampton Manor. Since purchasing the property in July 2019, the Martins have taken on the task of maintaining the property as a beautiful rental property, as well as a wedding venue and event space. When Robert and Rose aren’t working on projects at Sanlawr Haven, Robert holds a position as the executive maintenance manager for mobile home parks, while Rose works for the Adams County Tax Office. They plan to retire in the next seven years, and are elated to share their tranquil country home with you!
Kelsey Shaffer is the daughter of Robert and Rose Martin. Kelsey is now the Director of Events for Sanlawr Haven, LLC. Before Sanlawr Haven, Kelsey was a K-8 writing specialist in Philadelphia. She has previous experience as the Marketing and Event Director at Knob Hall Winery & has an extensive background in customer service. Much like her parents, Kelsey is easygoing and enjoys the great outdoors. During the wedding season, Kelsey is here to help guests feel relaxed and carefree by ensuring everything from set up to transportation is taken care of! In the off-season, they help Robert and Rose with the many tasks that the property generously offers.
